Transportation Security Officer

All commercial airports in the United States have transportation security officers working in them. Their main responsibility is to ensure the security of airports and aircraft as well as the safety of the airport’s passengers and employees. Transportation security officers are commonly referred to as “TSOs” and they are employees of the Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”) which is an organization controlled by the United State’s federal government.
